About Filip Jers

Filip Jers is one of the world’s most prominent harmonica players, and is well-known in Sweden’s musical spheres. His approach to playing the harmonica is unique in its artistry and tone, filled with emotion and playfulness. His musical palette is lyrical, colorful and full of contrasts.

As the first harmonica player ever to graduate from Stockholm’s Royal Academy of Music, he has played in more than 30 countries worldwide. He is also a composer and music teacher.

Jers works regularly with the Filip Jers Quartet, with his duo with guitarist Emil Ernebro and as a guest soloist in different projects. He has been a featured soloist with many cutting-edge jazz big bands in Sweden as well as performing with two of Scandinavia's finest string orchestras; Musica Vitae and Camerata Nordica.

Jers has been featured on more than 100 CDs as a recording artist, playing harmonica. Besides music, Filip likes coffee, yoga, and running in nature.
